I think it is kind of funny to since about half the time the extra drive comment is followed directly by there kids will be going to Lee/RC/GC instead like there is not extra drive time there

When you would figure all the coal camps around Appalachia, you get quite a sum- but like several other things, we have let our "politicians" send the money elsewhere. The way some see this, only the Norton kids living in the city limits should even have a horse in any race, they are the only city system. Unless you count the fact that I may pay more in taxes than some else, and want to give me that benefit. Course, I might pay less than some folks- so I don't guess that line of thought goes anywhere.

I traveled like 20 min to Burton from where I live my whole high school career and have been traveling to MECC since from here, all with not one problem.

I bet it takes you forever to go anywhere:D- you can't get to BSG from any of those camps without going thru Appy or Norton. The shortsighted part of your statment is that if the county kept that money, everybody could have a new school and not increase the other taxes.

LOL yep all roads lead to Appy :)
IDK about short sighted would that be something like Pushing a plan that screws you more just so you can screw someone else at the same time?
As for the coal tax money if it is located in the county and not the town I am not sure where Appy has a "Dawg" in the fight

So you think the folks in some parts of county shouldn't want a school? If you read what I said ,again, you will find I said "new schools for everybody" And if you will recall, this thread is more about the 2-in-1 than saving any one school. How would what I said be pushing a plan that screws everybody? And if things were done by districts, all parts of the county would stiil a voice.

Re: Board of Supervisors Tonite?
I hate to be this guy but..... Lundsford gives people from Appy a bad name. I personally love Appalachia but people like him are why a lot of people could give two ****s about what happens to the place. He acts like a child....if he doesn't get his way he wants everyone to suffer. I hope if he gets his precious gym built it sinks in a huge sinkhole just before it's finished. Figured I would take a page from his book and act like a child too.
